Southeast Christian Church, Louisville, KY

Encouraging, equipping, and uniting people all across the country as they share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with women in the adult entertainment industry.

Early bird price $99 (until May 31st)

What is the HEELED Conference?

The HEELED Conference was created to encourage and equip God’s people to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with exploited and trafficked women.

For three days you will be immersed with teaching from ministry professionals, preaching from God’s Word, and personal testimonies from leaders of strip club outreach ministries.

This conference is not only for established ministries; it is also for groups who are looking to start ministering to women in the adult entertainment industry for the very first time.

And for the first time, the HEELED Conference will offer breakout sessions specifically geared towards pastors and church leaders who have a desire to guide their church congregation towards strip club outreach.

This conference is for anyone who has been called to be the light of Christ in the adult entertainment industry.

Keynote Speakers

Rachelle Starr

Rachelle Starr is a mother to a beautiful little boy named Isaac who is three and a wife to an amazing husband named Joshua. She grew up a pastor’s kid and loved the Lord from an early age. In 2006 Rachelle moved to Louisville, Kentucky and worked in advertising and marketing until the Lord called her to leave the corporate world and minister to women in the adult entertainment industry. In 2008 Rachelle founded the ministry Scarlet Hope, which is now a national ministry. Her mission in life is to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with women in the adult entertainment industry. In January of 2016 she opened a social enterprise, Scarlet’s Bakery, that offers transferable job skill training to women seeking a second chance at a new career.

Christa Hicks

A second generation trafficking victim, Christa’s early years were filled with poverty, sexual abuse and parental drug addiction. Christa believed she was “born to be a junkie”. At 27 she had a daughter, repeating the life into which she was born.

From jail in 2002, Christa felt the love of God bestowing “the gift of surrender”. Through her church family, she learned the skills to provide Marisa a peaceful home.

After earning her BA from Florida Gulf Coast University, she graduated with her MA in counseling from Liberty University. Christa became a Florida state licensed therapist and founded Into the Jordan Ministries (ITJ), a center for exploited women. Recently, Christa was honored as “Hero of the Year” by the News Press.

Her boundless passion for God, family and education form the foundational principals for ITJ. Christa strives to provide a family atmosphere where survivors pursue healing and empowerment, building dream-worthy lives.

Jeff Shaw

Jeff Shaw began working as an attorney in Atlanta in 2007, and founded Out of Darkness as a 24-7 rescue hotline in 2011, which is now a ministry of Atlanta Dream Center. He left law practice to direct Out of Darkness full-time in 2013. The ministry does outreach and trainings, operates a 24-hour rescue hotline, and runs transitional safe homes for women leaving commercial sexual exploitation. In the last four years they have served over 700 women.

Worship Leaders

Brian and Kim Tabor are passionately in love with Jesus-and it shows.

They communicate that love with every syllable and note during concert performances and worship events. Theirs is an unmatched gift in creating an atmosphere of genuine worship. When Brian and Kim take the stage, they come to tell of the overwhelming love of Christ and to celebrate His presence. Their unique ability to bring worshipers to the feet of God stems from their own deep, personal relationship with Jesus and from years of honing their craft and sharing their gift with congregations around the country.

Kim has worked alongside and gleaned from artists like Sandi Patty and Bill Gaither, while Brian has become nationally recognized as a leading Minister of Worship through pastorates with large churches and leading worship for many conferences and conventions. In 2001, they both sensed a calling to full-time concert ministry, and began traveling the country as conference worship leaders and ministry concert performers. Offering more than a concert or worship experience, Tabor Ministries uses every turn on the platform as an opportunity to share the Good News of God’s unconditional and relentless love. “Music and worship are powerful tools that can be used to open hearts to the message of the Gospel,” explains Brian. “The heart of our ministry is to use these tools to share God’s love with people everywhere. We believe that God is passionate about people and their need for fellowship with Him, and we have committed our lives and ministry to this purpose.”

Kim is also passionate about the liberating power of knowing God. Her CD, “Finally Free: Stories of Hope and Inspiration” combines the awe-inspiring testimonies of seven women in their own voices with scripture and music for a meaningful devotional experience. Kim later developed the “Finally Free Women’s Conference” and wrote the companion book, “Finally Free.” Kim’s Finally Free Conference teaches “God sets us free FROM something, FOR something”.  Kim’s “FOR something” launched in 2014; an outreach called Stripped Free. Stripped Free, led by Kim, is a ministry to women who work in the adult entertainment industry in the city of Indianapolis.  The outreach team works to develop relationships with dancers in strip clubs in order to show them they are loved and they matter. “As followers of Christ, we ourselves have been rescued, redeemed and restored by Him and we know He desires the same for the dancers in these clubs. We are just the mouthpieces to share His love and message. The friendships I have been able to develop have been life changing for me. I deeply love the women I have met through Stripped Free,” said Kim.

Kim also adds that they have seen God work in their lives and in the lives of others as they travel the country leading worship and ministering at conferences. “Brian and I are humbled that God has allowed us to minister and worship in so may amazing places with such gifted people. The opportunity to serve Him and watch Him transform hearts before our very eyes is the greatest joy of our lives.”
